TRADE ACCOUNT FAQ

The questions professional buyers ask first.

Honest, specific answers. Commercial terms are always confirmed in writing against your specification.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

MOQ is set per product, construction and whether the order is private-label. We confirm the exact minimum for your selected style and market during the specification review — smaller development runs are possible for new brands. Share your target product and volume and we confirm the number in writing.

What are your sampling and production lead times?

Sampling typically takes a few working days to a couple of weeks depending on construction; production lead time is confirmed per order volume and stated in your written quotation. Sample shipments to the UK and EU by DHL/UPS express are usually 3–5 working days.

What certifications and compliance documents do you provide?

We can provide material and compliance documentation on request — composition statements and relevant test reports for the UK/EU market. The exact certificates available depend on the product and destination; tell us your market and we confirm what we can supply.

What private-label and packaging options do you offer?

Private-label options include logo application, shade/SKU labels, backing cards, care cards, pouches and retail boxes. Minimums and cost are confirmed per packaging brief — see our Colour & Packaging Studio.

Do you provide samples, and are they free?

Yes, we supply samples. Samples are provided at sample price plus shipping at the buyer's cost; sample pricing is confirmed per reference. We do not send free samples, because human-hair products are high-value. A representative sample is the basis for approving a repeatable product reference before bulk production.

Do you manufacture in-house?

Yes. DS HAIR operates its own manufacturing and works with long-term hair-product supply partners, so product specification, sampling and repeat production are coordinated within one sourcing relationship rather than handed between unrelated vendors.

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms are confirmed per account and order. Typical arrangements are discussed after the specification is approved and before production is scheduled.

How do you ship orders to the UK and EU?

Samples ship by DHL/UPS express (China–UK/EU about 3–5 working days). Bulk orders can go by air or sea to optimise cost, and we support Incoterms appropriate to the destination. We confirm the route and timing per order.

Can you support a new or small hair brand?

Yes. We have supported 50+ hair brands with private-label and wholesale programmes, from the first sample to the repeat order. The practical format depends on your product, volume, artwork and target market — we help you right-size it.

How do we start a trade relationship?

Apply for a trade account above or send a buying brief from any product page. We identify the right collection, sampling route and the information needed for a quotation, then confirm commercial terms in writing.

PROOF IN PRACTICE

Two ways buyers have used the same supply engine.

Anonymised examples of real sourcing work — the structure, not the client name.

CASE

UK salon group → private-label line

A UK salon group used our private-label pathway to launch a branded clip-in and topper range. We coordinated product specification, Colour Chart 2 shade approval and retail packaging, then supported repeat production.

Outcome: a coherent launch range with an approved colour and packaging reference for reorder.

CASE

EU distributor → retail pack programme

A mainland-Europe distributor needed right-sized retail packaging and consistent shade references across a wig and topper assortment. We structured the brief, approved physical references and confirmed commercial terms per volume.

Outcome: a repeatable pack and shade system matched to their market.
